My Formula for Optimum Performance
I firmly believe that ultimate success in all theatres of life can most effectively be achieved through adopting an appropriate mindset. Gaining control of your mind is a learned skill and unless you control your mind, it will control you.
Based upon a comprehensive raft of learned life skills, I gain enormous satisfaction assisting people to achieve their potential. I have no doubt that developing a powerful mind is instrumental to living an extraordinary life.
With this in mind, I can assist executive leaders to reach their potential and beyond through mentoring, coaching and consultation. This will be achieved by facilitating individuals to adopt practical and effective strategies to both enhance their personal strengths and also to confront and overcome adversity and challenges.
My ultimate aim is to assist executive leaders to develop a mindset whereby both personally and professionally, they are relaxed and confident – the consummate mindset for optimum performance.

'I was fortunate to have Peter travel with me on the professional tennis tour as my coach in 1989, and it remains my most successful year, breaking into the top 50 in the world for the first time. These results were due to Peter’s excellence as a coach, particularly in match strategy, and as a mentor.

‘Peter Collier has the rare status of being not only a brilliant teacher, but a mentor who has shaped the characters of men. His enthusiasm for his subject is infectious, inspiring his students to extend their knowledge beyond the course, to become informed about the world and to relish learning and academic excellence. I would not be alone in saying that Peter Collier had one of the most fundamental influences on my life.
Teachers of the calibre of Peter are rare entities indeed. I count myself enormously lucky to have been taught by such a man.’
Professor James McNamara
Former Student, Scotch College
'You tend to find inspiration from the funniest of places. At Scotch, there was always one subject that really interested me and much of that was because of the way it was taught – by Peter Collier.
I always enjoyed arguing and being encouraged to argue my opinions in Politics and History. These classes intrigued me and inspired me as I was always keen to give an opinion.
Not only did we have to give an opinion but the moment we walked through the door we had to back that opinion up with facts, just like we were adults. I thought that this was great.
It was this environment of being treated like an adult if you spoke like one, which really inspired me to become a teacher today.
I learnt so much from Peter and I have plenty to thank him for.'
Craig Gmeiner
Former student, Scotch College
‘I have been a long-standing friend of Peter as well as a parliamentary colleague. In the government I led, I found Peter to be hard working, reliable and loyal. As the Minister for Education, Peter oversaw significant reform as well as managing a large and complex system. He has a special ability to support and encourage both students and teachers.’
Hon Colin Barnett

‘I was fortunate enough to work with Peter during my time in the AFL between the West Coast Eagles and Brisbane Lions. What I learnt were valuable lessons combined with clear directions that allowed me to excel both on and off the field. Athletes can at times have a lot of noise in their head and being coached on how to handle thoughts and stay on track in so important. Having a mentor like Peter has been invaluable to my career. It has also educated my perception around elite athletes and high-performance environments’

‘Peter is passionate about helping people. His experience as a tennis coach working with elite athletes and various roles in leadership positions allows him to offer invaluable advice that relates to both sports and business people alike. You don’t achieve the things that Peter has accomplished by accident. His support throughout my AFL football career was outstanding and I could not recommend him highly enough’
