Welcoming Marcus Tan as Executive Chair at Integral.

I am pleased to announce that Dr Marcus Tan has joined the Integral board as our new Executive Chair. I will step down as Chair and Marcus will join the board to support our fundraising, help grow our technology platform, Able, and expand the impact of our leadership development services & programs.

The board and I are pleased that Marcus will have a more hands on involvement than a non-executive chair, and will spend around one day a week working with us to expand our impact.

Marcus is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in healthcare, technology startups and fundraising. He is the founder & ex-CEO of HealthEngine, one of Australia's largest health-tech platforms which serves over 16M people, where he raised over $67M from venture capital firms including SevenWest, Telstra & Sequoia. He is currently chair at Spacecubed, entrepreneur in residence at Plus8 & RAC’s Betterlabs, and operating partner at Purpose Ventures.

I had the pleasure of sharing an office above a nightclub with Marcus over ten years ago when he first founded HealthEngine. From those early days, Marcus and his team grew HealthEngine into Australia’s largest healthcare platform (which I all too frequently use to book appointments for my sick children). Since stepping back he has worked tirelessly across the health, education and technology sector to help others develop, innovate and grow both as leaders and organisations.

Marcus has a long-term passion for leadership & organisational development and is an accredited coach. Since we began discussing Marcus joining the Integral board I have been impressed by his personal ambition to help improve the lives of 100M people by 2030; his passion for developing leaders and how aligned his values are with the mission of Integral. As an experienced entrepreneur, investor and coach, Marcus brings a unique set of skills to Integral that will help us achieve our own aim to develop millions of leaders.

"I believe effective leadership development is key to solving some of our most complex challenges. Integral's innovative approach, combining human wisdom with AI technology, creates a scalable platform that can genuinely transform how we develop the next generation of leaders." Marcus Tan

I have enjoyed chairing the board and working with my colleagues on the board Phil Moyle, Hannah Fitzhardinge, Jeroen van Dalen and Jill Dare. Stepping down as chair will allow me to focus on fundraising and growing our technology platform. Marcus brings a wealth of experience building large technology businesses to Integral and I’m looking forward to working alongside him to continue to expand the impact we have on leaders, client organisations and practitioners.

Please join me in giving Marcus a warm welcome!

All the best,
